10.30 am – 4.00 pm Splat! will deliver activities for young people: Painting pots,  seeding and designing cress heads and handing out sun flowers growing pots.

12 noon  – 4.00 pm  BBQ: the theme is locally sourced produce – vegetarian skewers, salad and corn on the cob also including local apple juice tasters

The aim of the day is to show case local produce and to highlight the preparation process from farm to the customer. This will be achieved by using ‘home grown’ vegetables sourced at a local farm shop and then prepared on the day and cooked for people to sample; the recipe/ingredients will then be on offer to take away so families can cook a similar meal at home.

Visitors to the Community Garden have the opportunity to write down their favourite BBQ recipes on a black board so they can share their ‘top tips’ with the local community.

Plus Dane Group are looking forward to attending Congleton Food Festival to promote the Bromley Farm Community Allotment programme and the Bromley Farm Community Development Trust…
